I am an option trader.
I began trading nearly 35 years ago. While working as a software developer in a leading bank I came across a friend who was a sub broker and thru him got into trading. In those days it was just a past time for me with very little capital. Mostly trading in equities – buying and selling them. A small fish like me could not make much out of trading because the system was manual and we had to rely on a broker for executing our trades. There was no transparency and the system favoured the big traders who had more information. I had to rely on newspapers or magazines for information about companies and this was of no use as the price would have by then moved up or down already. The best period began when ICICI bank began the online security trading system. It helped me in overcoming all the drawbacks and trading turned to become easy. Now a days I only trade in options. I sell options. I have two well tested strategies and these help in getting a return of around 20 to 25% annually. I have automated one of the strategies. The other one is in progress. I could not yet get this one automated as this strategy has a couple of rules that need human intervention.
Now a days, while trading, I have a lot of time and as always when I have this idle time at my disposal random thoughts begin to flow. I thought why not start a blog to record all my random thoughts. And so this blog.
